Elikayo Care Services offers personal and functional care tailored to the needs of the service users. The care services are aimed towards older people, those with a disability and people who need assistance due to illness to enable them to continue living in their own homes and community. Elikayo Care Services is of the view that being able to provide such care will support service users to enable them to be independent and in control of their lives as part of the government’s personalisation agenda social care act (2008).
We aim to achieve this by promoting a standard of excellence which embraces fundamental principles of good care practice that is witnessed and evaluated through the practice, conduct and control of quality care in the domestic environment. We also feel that it is paramount to work in partnership with local authorities, families and other care support to ensure that the service being provided is transparent and is respectful of the diverse needs of the service user.
To ensure safety of our service users it is standard practice for a member of our management team to visit each service user before commencing the service to be able to understand the individual situation and then provide the most suitable package accordingly. Our care plans are most certainly reflective of this where it outlines the service user’s emotional needs, social, medical and many more.
We use the Care Planner system which in place that allows us to monitor whether the care has been provided for the service user. With this system it permits us to see if the carer has arrived on time to provide the care. It also allows us to put in place other provision of services with the overall outcome of meeting the need for that service user.
